Sam Raper

My name is Sam Raper and I am from Madisonville, TN. I have been playing baseball since I was 4 and started pitching when I was 9. I grew up playing rec ball in Madisonville and played a few summers of travel ball. I played for the Middle School team and played all 4 years at Sequoyah High School. My last summer of travel ball, I got the opportunity to play for a very competitive team and play against really good competition. I had a pretty successful senior year. I finished the season with 106 strikeouts in 50 innings and finished 9th in the State. I earned a couple different awards that year. I ended up earning a scholarship at Bryan College in Dayton, TN to be a Varsity pitcher. I am now going into my Junior year. I’ve been blessed to learn from really knowledgeable pitching instructors over the years. My goal with giving pitching lessons is to try and develop young pitchers in the area and try to make them the best pitchers they can be.

Nate Pitts

Hello Bat Breakers family,

I am back in from college for the summer and am excited to get into lessons. It’s a great pleasure to be able to hand off my knowledge through lessons and I can’t wait to get started.
I graduated from Alcoa high school in 2022 where I played all four years as a pitcher and outfield.
In addition to playing high school baseball, I also played high level travel ball against top D1 talent every year. I am pleased to have been part of the Grind Rangers Arsenal program (part of Tri state Arsenal at the time).
A fun fact- Mike Trout who plays for the MLB Angels team also played for Tennessee team for that program, which is based out of New Jersey!
I am blessed to have gotten to compete with such a prestigious program where I was able to play against some of today’s best NCAA talent.
Upon high school graduation, I committed to play at University of the Cumberlands in Kentucky where I’m still at today. For the past two years, I help coach the Tennessee Arsenal Rangers 10u who continue to be a high level of 10u travel ball.
I can’t wait to get started and get to share my knowledge of the game to pass on to others for pitching.
